How did Escape Rooms Start?

The modern escape room concept began in Japan in 2007, when the company SCRAP created one of the first real-life escape games. The idea was simple but highly engaging: players entered a themed room and had to solve a series of puzzles and riddles within a limited time in order to escape. The format quickly became popular and soon spread across Japan, China and the rest of Asia.
